Statement about The Ridings Federation

You may have heard or read in the media that the schools in The Ridings Federation (TRF) are to be re-brokered to other academy trusts, after a series of difficulties at the schools.

Following discussions over the last few weeks, The Olympus Academy Trust (OAT) and Castle School Education Trust (CSET) will be submitting a joint proposal to the Department for Education. By combining the sponsor capacity and educational expertise from our two local Trusts, we believe we can provide the support needed in both the short-term and long-term for the benefit of all young people in the area.

OAT and CSET have worked in close partnership on a number of projects recently, as we work in the same geographic area and share a similar vision and values. Our joint approach to a solution for The Ridings Federation is an extension of this strategic partnership. Having explored all options, we consider that this is the best solution for the students at OAT, CSET and TRF schools.

We will of course keep you informed of developments over the next few weeks.
