Out of School Club Assistants x 2

Grade 13 - £7.90 per hour

Fixed Term Contract commencing 1st September 2017 until 28th February 2018

12.5 hours per week, 3pm to 5.30pm Mon-Fri. Term Time Only

“All Stars” Out of School Club is an out of school provision run the Olympus Academy Trust to provide out of school care for children currently at Meadowbrook Primary, Bradley Stoke Community School Primary and Charborough Road Primary. We are looking to appoint 2 fixed term positions to work with us during an exciting time of expansion for the club.

The successful applicant will be based at either Meadowbrook Primary or Charborough Road Primary School and should be prepared to be flexible with venues to respond to the needs of the club.

Under direction of the Out of School Club Manager, general duties include:

  • Setting up interesting activities
  • Helping with the organisation of snack time.
  • Supervision and care of children attending the club.
  • Setting up and packing away of club activities and resources.

You will need to be a proactive, enthusiastic, reliable and caring team member and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to establish good working relationships with children, parents and other Out of School Club Assistants.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have excellent standards of literacy and numeracy.
  • Be able to take direction from the OOSC Manager in the delivery of high quality creative play in a safe and caring environment
  • Provide play opportunities and activities in a homely, nurturing and safe environment with regard to the individual development needs of the children

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people.  All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and all appointments will be subject to appropriate vetting, including an enhanced DBS disclosure check as well as completion of the School’s Disqualification by Association Declaration Form.
